Blood Pressure

This screening tell us how hard your heart if working! The systeolic pressure (top number) is the maximum pressure your heart pumps blood out of your arteries. The diastolic pressure (bottom number) is the minimum pressure in your heart before it pumps again. A healthy blood pressure value is at or below 120/80, and we are here help you monitor and take manageable steps to achieve your goals.

A1c (Non-fasting Blood Glucose)

This screening tells us the percentage of sugar in your blood over the past 3 months and does not require you to fast. With a quick prick, we can see where your results which are categorized as normal (<5.7), elevated (5.7-6.4), and high (>6.4). This test can be completed once every 3-6 months.

Health Information and Resources

We are here to help explain diabetes and hypertension in easy to understand terms. Our physicians also stop by at some events and can offer advice on ways to lower or manage diabetes and hypertension. Sometimes, we bring in other organizations that have more great health resources like lung health and exercise!

All of our events feature a creative and/or fun element to spark conversations and build connections, regardless if you receive a screening or not. We believe that community and joy are essential parts of healthcare, and aim to bring that to our screening events. Whether it be an intense game of uno or a peaceful coloring page, we are truly excited to share space with you.
